A note from the instructor
This hatha style yoga / stretch class is for beginners and it consists of centering and pranayama (breath).
Our nourishing breath allows us to live and move more freely within our bodies.
Asana (our yoga postures & sequences) as many of us know today as yoga.
Moving into limbering the body with special attention to our hips and shoulders while keeping the spine healthy and strong.
The practice will be gentle and at a slow pace and we will use pranayama to focus inwards to the muscles that support the lower back and spine which is essential for spine health.
Warming and strengthening the body is next maybe adding in some ”sun salutations” fusing movement with breath.
Strengthening postures are sometimes standing up or on the mat and the idea is to go deep inside the body to experience the pose which is unique to you.

Moving now into our cooling and calming stage of our class with attention to flexibility and stretching which is super important preventing you from injuries and making your body more mobile.
Relaxation (Shavasana) helps to alleviate stress, cultivates peace, harmony, calm and acceptance.
