    Shannon Swimming & Leisure Centre is seeking a dedicated Swim Teacher to join our professional and friendly team. This role involves teaching swimming lessons across all ages and abilities, ensuring a safe, engaging, and enjoyable learning environment for our members.

    Essential Requirements

    The successful candidate must:

    • Hold a Swim Ireland Level 1 Assistant Teacher qualification or equivalent (Level 2 Swim Ireland Full Teacher qualification is desirable)
    • Be capable of teaching swimming lessons to children and adults across all abilities
    • Demonstrate excellent communication, motivation, and interpersonal skills
    • Be enthusiastic, reliable, and committed to delivering lessons to a high standard
    • Have flexibility to work days, evenings, and weekends as required. 
    • Be organised and able to work effectively with both children and adults

     

    Key Responsibilities

    • Deliver safe, structured, and engaging swimming lessons to children and adults
    • Deliver private swimming lessons tailored to individual member needs
    • Maintain a high standard of pool safety and hygiene
    • Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are adhered to at all times
    • Monitor students’ progress and provide constructive feedback.
    • Support and coordinate swim programmes and initiatives within the centre
    • Promote a positive and welcoming environment for all members and their families
    • Communicate with parents and guardians regarding lesson progress and recommendations

     

    Contract Details

    • Job Type: Part-Time, Permanent
    • Hours: Minimum 12-15 hours per week, depending on certification
    • Rate of Pay: €13.91 – €16.71 per hour, dependent on qualification

  • Part Time Lifeguard & Swim Teacher

    Swim Teacher & Lifeguard (Part-Time)

    Shannon Swimming & Leisure Centre is currently recruiting a Swim Teacher & Lifeguard to join our professional aquatics team. This dual-role position is ideal for a qualified, motivated individual who is passionate about water safety and swim education, and who is committed to delivering a high-quality, safe, and engaging experience for all pool users.

     

    Essential Requirements

    The successful candidate must:

    • Hold a valid IWS or RLSS Level 2 Pool Lifeguard qualification or equivalent
    • Hold a Swim Ireland Level 1 Assistant Teacher qualification or equivalent.
    • Be capable of teaching children’s and adult swimming lessons, including group and private lessons
    • Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills
    • Be reliable, organised, and safety-focused
    • Have flexibility to work days, evenings, and weekends as required.

     

    Desirable Requirements

    • Swim Ireland Level 2 Full Teacher qualification
    • Child Protection certification
    • First Aid certification

     

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lifeguard the swimming pool to the highest standard, ensuring the safety of all pool users
    • Deliver group and private swimming lessons to children and adults across a range of abilities
    • Enforce pool rules, centre standards, and emergency procedures
    • Respond effectively to emergencies and incidents, administering First Aid where required
    • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation in pool areas
    • Monitor swimmer progress and provide feedback to participants and parents/guardians
    • Provide a professional, friendly, and supportive service to all members
    • Support and coordinate swim programmes and aquatic activities as required

     

    What We Offer

    • Hours: Minimum of 20-25 hours per week depending on certification
    • Rate of Pay: €14.47 – €17.55 per hour, dependent on qualifications

    Job Summary:
    We are seeking a dynamic CRM & Membership Coordinator to manage and optimise our Legend CRM system, driving membership engagement, retention, and marketing initiatives. This role will focus on both individual and corporate memberships, ensuring seamless renewals, strategic marketing campaigns, and fostering strong relationships with corporate clients to grow our membership base. The ideal candidate will bring a balance of technical CRM expertise, marketing acumen, and business development skills.

    Key Responsibilities:

    CRM Management & System Optimization

    • Oversee the Legend CRM system, ensuring data integrity and operational efficiency.
    • Identify and implement new system features to enhance business effectiveness.
    • Liaise with Legend support for updates, troubleshooting, and feature requests.
    • Train team members on best practices and new functionalities within the CRM.

    Corporate Account Management & Business Development

    • Manage and expand corporate membership accounts by building and maintaining client relationships.
    • Develop and execute corporate sales strategies to attract new business clients.
    • Collaborate with marketing to create tailored corporate membership packages and promotional campaigns.
    • Track and analyse corporate membership performance, providing actionable insights.
    • Attend networking events, industry meetings, and trade shows to promote corporate memberships.

    Membership Retention & Renewals

    • Follow up with non-renewing members to encourage re-engagement.
    • Implement automated workflows for renewal reminders and member engagement.
    • Monitor and improve retention rates through proactive communication and targeted offers.
    • Develop strategies for member engagement, including loyalty rewards and community events.

    Marketing & Campaign Management

    • Design and execute marketing plans to attract and retain members.

    Swimming Lesson Management

    • Oversee swimming lesson renewals and manage new bookings.

    Sales, Membership & Performance Reporting

    • Generate, analyze, and present reports on sales, memberships, and marketing campaigns.

    • Develop and maintain procedures for consistent and accurate reporting.
    • Identify new revenue opportunities through data-driven analysis.

    Technical Proficiency & System Knowledge
